Overview of the Saiben Line
The Saiben Ancestral Line represents the maternal branch of the compiler’s heritage and is one of the deeply rooted families of Bacolod Grande. This lineage carries the heritage of Hadjah Aspiya Saiben and her ancestors, connecting to longstanding Maranao households whose roots form a crucial part of the Salsila.
The Saiben family spans multiple generations in Bacolod and is linked with several allied clans through marriage ties. As with the other branches of this Salsila, the Saiben line is built on oral histories, remembered names, and stories preserved by family elders — now documented so the next generations may know their origins with clarity.
