Help Keep the Salsila Complete and Accurate

This Salsila is a living record. As families grow and memories are clarified, new information can be added so that the lineage remains clear for future generations. If you see missing names, spelling corrections, or additional branches, you are warmly invited to share them here.

Updates may include replacing “Unnamed son / daughter / child” with a known name, adding new children or grandchildren, or clarifying how a person is related within the Tugaya and Bacolod Grande lines.

What Kind of Updates Can You Share?

Any information that helps make the Salsila clearer and more accurate is welcome. For example:

  • Missing names for entries currently shown as “Unnamed son / daughter / child”.
  • Additional children or grandchildren who are not yet included under a known parent.
  • Spelling corrections for Maranao names or surnames.
  • Clarifications of relationships (for example: which sibling married whom, or which child belongs to which parent).
  • Notes on duplicate entries where the same person may appear twice in different branches.

Before You Send an Update

To keep the Salsila reliable, it is helpful if every update is based on first-hand family knowledge or a clear family record.

  • Please share only information you are reasonably sure of (or clearly mark it as “not yet fully confirmed”).
  • If your update differs from what is already written, you may briefly explain why your version should replace or supplement the existing entry.
  • If possible, check with elders or siblings before sending, so that updates reflect a shared understanding within the family.

All updates are reviewed first before being added to the working Salsila file.

How to Send Your Information

You may send your updates using any of the methods below:

  • Messenger: https://m.me/Tatay.Ashary
  • Message form: If a contact form is available on this site, you may paste your update there together with your contact details.
  • Direct message: You may also send via private message to the site owner or designated family representative.

Please include your name and how you are connected to the person or branch you are updating (for example: “eldest son of ___”, “grandchild of ___”, “sibling of ___”).

Suggested Format for Updates

To make it easier to insert your update in the correct place, you may follow this format:

  • 1. Your full name: (for contact and acknowledgment)
  • 2. Person to be added / corrected: Name as it should appear.
  • 3. Relationship: Child of — / grandchild of — / spouse of — (mention the exact parent or spouse already in the Salsila).
  • 4. Generation or branch: Tugaya Gen __ / Bacolod branch of __ (if known).
  • 5. Type of update: New name, correction, extra child, clarification, etc.
  • 6. Additional notes: Any explanation, alternate spelling, or supporting detail you wish to include.

You do not need to fill every item above; send whatever information you have, and it will be fitted into the Salsila where it belongs.

Respect and Privacy

Updates sent through this page are treated with respect and care. Only information relevant to the Salsila will be published, usually in first-name form, and always with the intention of preserving family ties — not exposing personal matters.

If a correction involves sensitive situations (such as family conflict, separation, or other private details), please focus on the lineage facts only: who is related to whom, and how.

By sharing updates, you are helping strengthen a record that belongs not just to one person, but to all descendants who will look back to this Salsila in the years to come.

Note: The final decision to insert, modify, or defer an update rests with the Salsila compiler, to ensure that the record remains internally consistent and respectful of all families involved.
