The Lao Line represents one of the most respected families of Macadar, Lumbatan and is a significant collateral branch connected to the Tugaya ancestry. Through intermarriage and shared kinship lines, the Lao family has longstanding ties with the descendants of Amtak and the Bacolod Grande branches.
This linkage is rooted in the ancestry of the Lao household of Macadar, whose connections extend into Tugaya and other Maranao communities along Lake Lanao. Their presence across generations reflects the historic mobility and inter-familial alliances that shaped the four principalities of Ranao.
